My name is Adelina. I'm 18. I wouldnt say I know everything about myself sometimes it feels like Im still getting to know who I really am. But there are a few things Ive already figured out. I can be different. Sometimes Im loud, laughing so hard you can hear me down the hall. Other times, Im quiet, headphones on, lost in my own thoughts. I love people, but I often need time alone. Its not because Im avoiding anyone its just how I recharge.

There are a lot of emotions in me. Sometimes I say I dont care, but thats not true. I just dont always know how to show that something matters to me. I think a lot more than I say. I can get upset over small things but then I put on some music and keep going, because I know everything passes eventually.

I love the kind of moments no one takes pictures of when someones laughing so hard they cant breathe, when sunlight slips through the window in the morning, when everything just feels right for no reason. I notice those moments and keep them inside me. Im not perfect. I can be stubborn, I can snap back, I can get hurt. But if Im with you really with you then you mean something to me. I dont hold on to people just to be polite; I hold on to the ones who speak to my heart.

Sometimes Im scared. Sometimes I dont know what I want. But every day, I learn how to be myself truly, not for anyone else, but for me. And you know what? Theres something beautiful in that in being real, being alive, and just moving forward. My Dreams.
