My Schedule

I'm eighteen, and every day seems like a little adventure to me - sometimes noisy, sometimes hectic, but still fun. I'm studying to become a psychologist, and it seems like this is the best choice I could make: every day you discover something new about people... and about yourself, of course. My morning starts like this: I rush out of the hostel with toast in hand, catch the bus at the last moment and laugh, even if Im late. In the end, mood matters more than time. My backpack always contains my notebook with drawings - I carry it everywhere, like a talisman.

In psychology classes, I listen to the teachers with genuine interest. I really like to understand why people think the way they do, why they react the way they do. Sometimes I imagine that each student has a small thought cloud hanging over their head, and I try to guess what is there - and then compare it with what is shown in lecture. I'm almost always wrong, but it just makes it funnier.

After classes, my classmates and I go to drink tea in the canteen. I sit by the window and draw everyone: some funny, some serious, some too similar to a cartoon character. The guys have already gotten used to it and even ask to draw them in a cool style. I dont know what this means yet, but I pretend that I understand.

On weekends I go to the park. I sit on the grass, take out my pencils and just capture the mood of the day: the sun in the branches, a dog that is chasing its tail too excitedly, a little girl who feeds the ducks and laughs so loudly that even passing adults smile. I draw everything - and every time I feel how it becomes lighter and brighter inside.

Sometimes people ask what I plan to do next: become a psychologist? An artist? I smile and answer that I still have plenty of time to decide. Now I like to live - to study, draw, communicate, be surprised and laugh. And this is quite enough to feel happy. And, frankly, I am sure: whatever the road is next, it will definitely be bright.
