My Schedule
I am standing on the threshold. Inside. Yesterday I was someone else. Today everything is different. The air, the light, me. There is a ticket in my pocket. It doesn't matter where to. It's my choice. I used to be afraid. Fear whispered: "Stop." But this morning I understood: the fear hasn't gone anywhere. Something else just lives next to it now. Something like light.
I take a step. Then another. The road is long. I don't know what awaits. But I walk. Because stopping is scarier. The wind hits my face. It means I'm alive. I'm on my way. I don't know if I'll make it. But every step now is mine. Every step brings me closer to who I want to become. Michelle. Who one day just went.
