My name is Emily. I am the one who looks for warmth in simple things. My day doesn't start with an alarm clock. It starts with the first sip of coffee, which I drink in complete silence while looking out the window. In those moments, the world still belongs only to me. I love to laugh loudly and sincerely, because I believe joy is contagious. I love walking in the rain without an umbrella, catching drops with my lips and feeling completely free.
My friends say I know how to listen. Truly, deeply, without interrupting. Maybe that's because I believe that inside every person there is a whole universe, and sometimes it just needs to be allowed to speak. I dream of traveling. Not of checking countries off a list, but of real encounters with other cultures, other people, a different version of myself.
I am not afraid to make mistakes. I am afraid of not trying. To be Emily means to feel this world with all my heart. Every day. Every minute. Every second. And to be grateful that I am here. See the Northern Lights stand under the stars and watch the sky dance in green and purple flames. Learn to play the piano at least one melody that makes people stop talking and just listen.
Wake up in a treehouse in the middle of the forest, with a cup of hot tea and the sounds of nature outside the window. Write a letter to myself in 10 years honest, with no filters, to open it later and either smile or cry. Swim in the ocean at night when the water glows from plankton, with nothing but the moon and silence around.
Feed a stray animal and give it at least one warm, kind day. Dance in the rain with no music, no witnesses, just because I feel like it. Say "I love you" first to someone who truly deserves those words. Live one full day without my phone just a book, nature, and me. Feel completely happy even for five minutes. For no reason. Just because.
