My Schedule
Hello! My name is Flora, and I am a first-year student at a biological university. At the age of 18, I already realized how important biology is for our future. In this topic, I want to share my thoughts on how a new generation of biologists like me can influence the world. We now live in a unique time when science is developing at incredible speed. Genetic technologies such as CRISPR are opening new horizons in treating diseases and improving agriculture. As students we learn to use these tools and we have the opportunity to make a real contribution to the future. For example, using genetic engineering, we can create disease-resistant plants, which is especially important for ensuring food security in the face of global climate change.
Moreover, climate change requires new strategic thinking from us. As part of the curriculum, we study ecosystems and their relationships, and this knowledge allows us to develop strategies for restoring and conserving natural resources.
