My Schedule
My name is Emily, I'm eighteen, and I've been living in Poland for almost a year now. When I first moved, everything seemed huge, noisy and a little scary - especially Warsaw, with its trams, endless passages and a mixture of old streets with modern skyscrapers. Every morning I leave my small apartment, hear the smell of fresh bread from the nearest bakery and realize that I love this country for its comfort and friendliness. I go to school, meet people from different countries, learn Polish (which sometimes seems simply impossible!), and all this makes my life rich and vibrant.
As soon as I get a couple of free days, Im already at the station. Sometimes it's Krakow, where street musicians play in the evenings. Sometimes Gdansk - with its warm wind, the smell of the sea and narrow streets. And sometimes just small villages where time seems to have stopped, and you can calmly sit on a bench, listen to the birds and drink hot compote.
